The Who – Tommy | US 2LP Reissue, Remastered, B0019527-01 (New, Sealed)

Tommy is The Who's fourth album, a double LP released in May 1969 and written largely by Pete Townshend as a rock opera. It tells the story of a boy left deaf, dumb and blind by childhood trauma who becomes a pinball champion and then a reluctant messiah, and it was later adapted into a 1975 film and a stage musical.

Musically it ranges from the instrumental Overture and Underture to tight rock songs such as Pinball Wizard, I'm Free and the closing We're Not Gonna Take It, with Roger Daltrey, John Entwistle and Keith Moon all prominent. Recurring themes and short linking pieces tie the four sides together, so it plays best as one continuous piece.
