Sade – Diamond Life | 2024 LP, Half-Speed Mastered 180g (New, Sealed)

Diamond Life is Sade's debut album, released by Epic in the UK in July 1984. Built around Sade Adu's cool, unhurried vocals and a band featuring Stuart Matthewman on saxophone and guitar, it became a worldwide hit and won Best British Album at the 1985 Brit Awards.

The music blends soul, jazz and pop into a smooth, uncluttered sound, with brushed drums, warm bass and saxophone lines that leave plenty of space. Your Love Is King and Smooth Operator became signature songs, Hang On To Your Love and When Am I Going To Make A Living add a lighter groove, and the album closes with a cover of Timmy Thomas's Why Can't We Live Together.
