Red Hot Chili Peppers – Blood Sugar Sex Magik | US 2LP Reissue, Remastered 180g (New, Sealed)

Blood Sugar Sex Magik was Red Hot Chili Peppers' fifth album and their first for Warner Bros., released in September 1991. Produced by Rick Rubin and recorded in a rented house in the Hollywood Hills, it turned the band from a cult funk-punk act into one of the biggest rock groups in the world.

The album pairs tight, stripped-back funk rock with a new emotional range. Flea's bass and John Frusciante's sparse, inventive guitar drive Give It Away, Suck My Kiss and the title track, while Under The Bridge and Breaking The Girl show a reflective, melodic side. Rubin's dry, close production keeps the playing front and centre across a long, varied running order.
