A Rush Of Blood To The Head is Coldplay's second album, released by Parlophone in August 2002 and produced by the band with Ken Nelson. Building on the success of Parachutes, it turned Coldplay into one of the biggest bands in the world and won the Grammy for Best Alternative Music Album.

The record is bigger and more urgent than their debut, with piano and guitar driving songs about love, doubt and the state of the world. Clocks rides a cascading piano riff, The Scientist is a stark piano ballad, In My Place and Politik swell into anthems, and quieter moments such as Green Eyes and Amsterdam close the album on a softer note.
